How to play
- You work the graveyard shift in a small salvage tug, high over the night side of the Earth, in the orbit where dead satellites are parked. Cut the old hulks apart. Each cut breaks a piece smaller, and the smallest pieces fall and burn up in the atmosphere. The company pays by the piece.
- Turn with the left and right arrows or A and D, thrust with the up arrow or W, and fire the cutter with Space. Hold Space to keep cutting; four bolts can be in the air at once. The tug keeps its momentum, and everything wraps around the edges. On a phone, use the buttons under the picture.
- Hop is the panic button: press the down arrow, S, or Shift and the tug drops out of sight for half a second, then reappears somewhere else, stopped dead. It takes 2.5 seconds to recharge, and the Hop chip says when it is ready.
- A hulk pays $20, a part $50, and a scrap $100. A big watchdog pays $200 and a small one $1,000. Every $10,000 earns a new tug.
- Two models of old watchdog satellite still patrol this orbit, and nobody ever switched them off. The big one fires blind, and the small one aims. Their shots destroy the tug and any debris they hit, and a watchdog that touches debris is destroyed with it, for no pay.
- Touching debris costs you a tug, though the piece still breaks and still pays. After a lost tug, the next one returns to the center once the area is clear, and it blinks for two seconds while nothing can hit it.
- When the last piece burns up, the next pass begins with more hulks, moving a little faster. Press P or Esc to pause and M to mute. Enter clocks in.
Your best pay is kept on this device.
