How to play
- You're the night dispatcher. Your train shows on the board as a run of red-lit track blocks behind a bright headlamp engine. Couple every amber freight car in the yard before the timetable clock runs out.
- Steer with the arrow keys or W, A, S, and D. The train keeps rolling by itself and follows bends on its own. At a junction it takes the direction you pressed last; press a turn early and the train holds it for the next junction that offers it. Where it can neither turn that way nor go straight, it stops and waits, and the clock keeps running. On a phone, use the direction pad or swipe on the board.
- Each car you couple adds one or two blocks to the train. The card at the start of each yard tells you which, so plan your turns while the train is still short.
- Running into your own cars derails the train and costs a life. So does missing the timetable. After either one, a fresh short train starts from the yard's entrance, and the cars you already coupled stay off the board.
- Couple every car to clear the yard, and the time you have left turns into bonus points. There are six yards, and then they come around again, faster.
- An extra life comes at 5,000 points, again at 15,000 and 30,000, and then every 25,000. Press P or Esc to pause, and M to mute.
Every yard is the same each time you play, so you can learn it. Your best score is kept on this device.
